About us
### Who are we
We are a group of enthusiastic students from the UMF Cluj, eager to improve ultrasound education for all students in the clinical years.
### What we do
Our mission is to provide high-quality ultrasound training to medical students by students.
### Our Way
Recently, we held a successful training weekend for our student tutors. With the full commitment of students from Sono4You Graz and Vienna, we were able to train 24 tutors in 7 groups on a very intensive weekend, full of Scanning and getting to know each other while playing paintball and a nice evening in a bar.
We have begun offering courses to interested students. However, due to overwhelming demand, we are now working on expanding our capacities to accommodate more students.
### Our goals
Short term:
Our current goal is to provide abdomen ultrasound training for the whole 6th Year English section before they begin their residency. Currently, we are offering courses in abdominal ultrasound only, but we are already working on developing training modules for other specializations such as head and neck, musculoskeletal, and echocardiography.
Our next steps are workshops at Medicalis 23 and Heart Congress.
We will teach Ultrasound at the EUROSON 23 Congress in Riga
We are also planning to have monthly meetings about Ultrasound specializations , presented by a guest speaker of the Corresponding Speciality.
Long term:
International contact and exchange with other Ultrasound student initiatives like
- Vienna Summer School
- VSSS Vienna Sono Skills Sessions
- Graz Late Summer School
- and many more!
We want to give curricular courses in cooperation with the University or as an optional course.
We are working on finding a room for our Ultrasound machine so we can give even more courses
We want to offer our tutors the possibility to perfect their scanning skills and gain clinical experience through our Mentoring program where they get individual training from a motivated resident or specialist, willing to participate.
